salmon sando |
a katsu sando is the japanese version of a fish finger
sandwich. thick fingers of salmon katsu encased in a paper thin panko crust are
fried till beautifully crisp. there isn’t a smidgen of grease in them. the
katsu is sandwiched in slices of conventional white bread whose soft blandness
is just the right compliment both in terms of flavour and texture. a bed of cabbage
ribbons bound with a little mayo and not enough tonkutsu sauce finish the
sando. it’s a very delicious sando my only gripe being that i would definitely
like to have more of that fruity worcestershire sauce.
